Ernest Jones was born the same year "The Art Of Golf" was published. Jones expanded on Simpson's book, taking the reader to the heart of swing with the aid of a simple pendulum. We could call Jones the forefather of the Medicus™ training device. The photographic section is noteworthy as well.To the degree that Hogan was a formalist, Jones was an anti-formalist. I see the Spalding Method as a completion of the Ernest Jones Method.
