Witnessing

the pristine view of the ball

x
This denotes the pure view of the ball which ultimately coincides with the "Whening" moment.  As soon as the ball appears pristine the swinger moves. This action does not indicate a "keep your head down" clicheŽ. The meaning here involves more than just seeing or looking at the ball. The pure view is what we see before we can label the object "the ball." When this happens the ball becomes so white that it practically glows and the whole event of swing takes on a mystical quality.
