Zen in the Martial Arts by Joe Hyams This book is the one referred to in "Mushin At The Masters" and is Greg Norman's pocket companion. This one is way down deep, so prepare your mind for a trip to the East. This book outlines Hyams' exploration of martial arts and his personal experiences with Bruce Lee. Most notable is that Bruce Lee represented the amalgamation of martial art styles, something I propose to do with golf. Although this book is not about golf, it serves as a mirror of sorts to Gallwey's "Inner Game of Golf." Self 1 and Self 2 are not overtly examined but the reader grasps that the dualism of the mind is the key problem, not only in golf, but in life. Rating: Double Eagle |
