Washing dissolving memory re-awakening |

Washing is the final action
and like waking is a pure abstraction. It applies to both the broad and narrow aspects of
golf. Not only must we erase the last shot, perfect or otherwise, we must erase the last
hole, even the birdie. Ultimately we must erase the whole round if we are to keep the mind
fresh. This type of action helps to keep the golfer from both brooding and bragging. The
result is a golfer of even temperament and as such is the basis for true improvement.
Before we can eliminate goofy golf we must rid ourselves of the goof within. Eliminating the goof however is a daunting task, for the whole golf improvement industry is completely built upon that which keeps the goof alive. Here a paradox emerges. The self-improvement industry both feeds off of and yet nurtures the heart of the goof. Read more about the ten actions Making Peace With Golf: the outline Making Peace With Golf: the overview |
