I must tell you that after filling out your questionnaire I have become uncomfortable . . . I was interested in your "new" product but now find out that I must wait until 1000 other interested golfers reply to your site. Hmmmmmm, do I begin to detect a slight scam taking place here? I sure would appreciate a note back from you explaining a tad more about your new product. Oh yes, please do not forward my address or e-mail address to anyone or anything else. Like you I receive enough junk mail.

Waiting to hear from you,

G.B.

I understand your reservations. There are a lot of scams out there, pyramids and all that stuff. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish a scam from something that's just "new." All I can say is that I've been working on this project since 1990 when no one even knew about the web. Granted, I haven't been on the web since its inception, but I've made the effort to get here because I think I have something important to say.

If you don't want to participate in the test I will remove you from my database. If you have read my privacy statement, however, I think you know that I am serious about this work. I even provide forms to help you get off lists! I sent both of mine in!

I have been reconsidering some modifications and your letter kind of put me over the edge on it. Unless I get some national press coverage, the chances of me even getting a thousand testers is a bit remote. So I will release the secret shortgame article on July 4, 1998, and cut off the sign-up then. This will give me two months to process the testers I have. Of course if I get a thousand by May I'll release it then. Also, I want people to try the technique. The middle of the golf season is probably the best time to do it.

Thank you for your reply. If your product is as good as this response I will be a scratch golfer in this life . . . Don't you dare to take me off your list. For the first time in a long time I am excited waiting for a product. I think the last time was for the Tooth Fairy.

Best of luck and waiting to hear from you,

G.B.

And thank you, kind sir.
